Danni’s Questions:
1 – What are you currently reading, and are you enjoying it so far?
Right now I have a few books going. I have a book for a blog tour called None of Our Hands are Clean, which is my main focus right now. It’s all right, but I’d rather be reading something else.
2 – What is your biggest bookish pet peeve?
I’d have to say books that take well over 100 pages to get to the actual plot of the story. Serpent & Dove was guilty of this and it drove me nuts. I stuck it out and it ended up worth it in the end, but sometimes I just can’t stick it out.
3 – Tell me an interesting fact about yourself.
Hmm, probably that I’ve had a total of five surgeries on my feet – three on the left foot, two on the right. While my left foot doesn’t have any “hardware” in it, my right foot contains two staples in the heel and three screws in the fifth metatarsal bone.
4 – Which TV show could you watch over and over and not get bored?
I’m not sure. I don’t watch a lot of TV. I do like Criminal Minds a lot, and I’ve restarted the series quite a few times. But that’s the only I can think of and I do get bored of it at times.
5 – Which fictional character would you love to be friends with?
Wow. That’s actually a tough one. I’ve never really found myself enamored by a character so much I’d like to be friends with them, so I’ve never thought about it. If I had to choose I’d have to say Professor Snape because I kind of have a crush on him. I’m weird, I know.
6 – How are your bookshelves organized?
Well, right now, the single shelf I have is all hardcovers, except the Harry Potter stuff on the top of the bookshelf. But they’re organized by author, then series, because I can’t stand series books being out of order!
7 – Do you have any hobbies?
I knit, I crochet, I make bookmarks, I read (obviously), I sing, I listen to music, I watch movies. And right now I’ve fallen into the rabbit hole that is TikTok.
8 – What is your favorite famous work of art?
Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. When I did my graphic design degree, I had an assignment to paint a pair of shoes in the style of a famous artist. I based mine on Starry Night. The shoes are still with the graphic design department because they’ve been displayed in the library.
9 – Do you collect any type of bookish merch?
Other than the Funko Pops I have of Pride, Prejudice, & Zombies ( I have Parson Collins) and Harry Potter, I don’t really collect bookish merch. Although I do have the charms to make Deathly Hallows bookmarks, earrings, etc.
10 – Which is your favorite season, and why?
Well, I have two. Winter because I was born in winter. Autumn because hoodies, hot chocolate, books, and Halloween!!!
11 – Which book or series brings you the most happiness?
Probably The Wizard of Oz series. Most people don’t realize that there’s an entire series of books set in the Land of Oz. Most people only know about The Wizard of Oz movie and I’ve even met people who didn’t know that was actually based on a novel. A few years ago my best friend bought me a box set of the Oz books.
My Questions:
1 – What book or series made you fall in love with reading?
2 – On that note, how long have you been reading?
3 – Not bookish but what is your favorite movie?
4 – On the movie note, what is your favorite book-to-movie adaptation?
5 – Have you ever fallen in love with a fictional character and if so, who?
6 – A little this or that: Vampires or Witches?
7 – How many books do you think is too many for a series?
8 – Thoughts on sequels that come out years after the “last” book in a series?
9 – Do you watch shows like Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, or other TV series based on books?
10 – What about the book community on social media annoys you?
11 – Is there anything on your TBR that you just know you’ll never read, but you can’t bring yourself to remove it?
