Sea Witch by Sarah Henning
This Little Mermaid retelling is perfect because it literally gives a backstory for how the Sea Witch came to be. Trust me, you’ve got to have this one.
Sea Witch Rising by Sarah Henning
If you seriously thought I’d leave out the second book in the series, you must not know me too well. This one is even more of a Little Mermaid retelling because you actually have a mermaid going to the Sea Witch for help getting her beloved prince. I haven’t read it yet, but hey, it’s still the Sea Witch.
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
I read this earlier this year and loved it. Three sisters are accused of being witches and drowned in the sea. Every year after that, they come back and possess the bodies of three teen girls for a season to get revenge on the townspeople for having drowned them.
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Of course I’m not going to forget Serpent & Dove. I know there have been some people blasting the book and author for reasons, but I don’t care. I loved the book and it fits with the prompt.
Hocus Pocus & The All-New Sequel by A. W. Jantha
What would this list be without our dear Sanderson sisters? Hocus Pocus & The All-New Sequel completes this list. Although I’m sure I’ve got other witchy YA books hanging around, I don’t want to make the list too long.
